Love is Christmas

"Give Love on Christmas Day, No better Gift is greater than Love", that is the song we hear from the children caroling every night for them to earn money for their noche buena and exchange gifts.

Mother and Ate are busy decorating the house like putting lanterns and Christmas lights on their windows. While Father and Kuya are busy fixing the Christmas tree. When the children have already slept, Father and Mother would secretly wrapping some gifts for their love one's. They were preparing for the incoming Christmas Day despite of the cool breeze of the season. At 3:00 in the morning, people would wake up early for the misa de gallo. We are doing this for nine mornings, starting from December 16 to 24. After the mass, the family would buy delicacies such as putobumbong and others. On the 24th day, here comes the celebration of the birth of the Christ. Many are preparing some foods for the noche buena. At exactly 12:00, we are saying to each other other,"Merry Christmas" together with a gift. Singing Christmas songs and watching colorful fireworks at the sky.

I hope that everyday, we celebrate Christmas so that everybody would be happier because there are lots of gifts, foods and happiness to share. But the true essence of Christmas is Love. Even though you don't have money to buy gifts at least you can simply give or share your love and forgive the people who have hurt you. As well as, you ask forgiveness to the person you've been hurt for. Again, Love is Christmas.

Yup! We Are On Duty

Always First! Always Ready! Always There!, these are the qualities of being a Red Cross Youth. We should always first, ready and always there in everything we do at any place and anytime. Before, we, the Red Cross Youth give the necessary first aid for those who are in need. We have undergone several trainings like bandaging and others.

I'm glad that all our learning's we have earned are really worth because we have applied it in our daily lives. Last November 27 and 28 was the 2009 Vigan City Meet. So, we the Red Cross Youth were assigned to different sports events. I was very happy because we are on duty again like what we did during the Intramural Meet. We were designated to the different places. At 8:00 in the morning we went to the Ilocos Sur Badminton Center at Bantay, Ilocos Sur to make sure that all the badminton players will be fine before, during and after the game. And Thank God, no one hurt. And the game was so great because the ISNHSians players shine on the Badminton Competition.

It was a great day, even though there's no one hurt at least we showed that we deserve to be called a first aider because we are ready at all times.

Yes! Glad to be Improving

I used to remember my last activity for the First Grading Period about the learnings, experiences and problems I've encountered. I've remembered also in my last paragraph that I would develop and improve so that I would be a better person. Now, that the Second Grading Period is about to finished, I can say that there was a change. What is it? What I've learned for the First Grading Period has been added and it goes deeper and deeper. In our subject T.L.E., I've learned what HTML Tag is. From that, I've made several activities about using the Notepad. And it was October 27 when we had our Unit Test. Even though I got low score, with this I've learned from my mistakes.

Problems? Well, let me just say that everyday we have lots of assignments to do. So, sometimes I go to bed at 11:00 or even 12:00. But I am not considering this situation as a problem because this is a part of being a student. It depends on the student on how he or she hold those responsibilities to be done. I've met a problem with our investigatory project because we can't make the product successfully. So, we keep on trying until we made it. In T.L.E., my problem only is that we don't have sufficient time to finished our activity for one meeting because we are 3 in one unit. Thank God that our teacher gave us considerations.

The same through during the First Grading Period, God has been my instrument in keeping me go on in facing my challenges.

The Second Periodical Test is coming, I would do my best to get high scores in all my subject.

A Letter of Gratitude for You(Teachers)

"Good morning Ma'am, Sir" that is the phrase we heard from some students to their teachers when they see them entering the gate of the school. Sometimes, the teachers greeted each other as a sign of respect especially if that teacher has a higher position like head teachers and administrative staff. Some students helped their teachers by carrying his or her bag and others.

Inside the classroom, the teacher would start discussing his or her lesson, experimenting an activity, teaching a dance step, singing a rhythmical song and start playing instrument. But there are times that we let him or her angry for the reason that we did not clean, we did not attend his or her class, we are not listening while he or she was discussing and worst, we really don't want that teacher. But, have we think why they keep on doing that? Maybe, they care about us, they love us and most, we are their second children so they want us to be successful someday. We are really lucky not because we have everything but because they are with us for eight hours teaching, guiding and caring us instead of their own children. Even though, their salary is very low and it is not enough for their families, still they are here with us. They are here sacrificing themselves because it is their responsibility to share knowledge and information what they have learned, share an innumerable discoveries they have found and above all, they are responsible enough in shaping our future. For me as a student, these are the best moments I've been proud and shared of to other people. I considered my teachers' sacrifices as best and memorable moments. It is more important than the bonding we had during classes, vacant periods, seminars and others.

As an exchange on what they have done, I would just want to say, THANK YOU and CONGRATULATIONS for their sacrifice. I will strive and focus in my studies and I will do my best to accomplish what I have dreamed and continue to be a responsible student as what you have shown to me.

Filipino:Key to a United Nation

Our country is composed of three islands namely Luzon,Visayas and Mindanao. From that three islands, there are 17 regions which have its own respective dialects used by the people who stayed at a certain area. These were Iloco,Pangasinense,Capampangan, Cebuano and others.Yes, indeed that most of the ethnic groups usually used this but still the others can't speak and understand those dialects especially at the urban areas.Furthermore, man must think a way inorder to solve this problem, so that understanding and unity should possess to one's Filipinos.

There should be a primarily language in speaking and writing to be used by the Filipinos. So that wherever they go throughout the Philippines, everyone of us could really understand each other. Many languages have been used by our country from North to South, from East to West. But still the principle of understanding and unity have not been reached. Through Filipino language, man has solved a problem which makes our country better and satisfying. Why? Because we are only using Filipino as our National Language that represents one country. In that case, it symbolizes unity which may result to a better country in terms of manpower. We all know that Manuel L. Quezon is the father of Philippine Language. And originally he came from the town of Baler before he became a president of our country. So, we consider that the spreading of Filipino language started at Baler until it goes nationwide.

Until now, we Filipinos still used this not only at home, public areas but also at the school. And also all over the world. Filipino language, Mabuhay!!!.

My Reflections at First.....

For the past two months, I've been very busy on my studies and some activities in our school. In terms of learnings, well I can say that I've learned a lot. From the subject T.L.E., I've learned about the history of internet and on how to create blog. With this, I can put now my experiences or insights about the things which are interesting for me. I've also learned on how to work quietly. Usually, when we were doing an activity, I keep on talking to my seatmate. Now, I dont do the same instead I would just be quiet in working. Furthermore, I've discovered that not only the subject lessons can be learned but also moral values.

I've encountered problems during the First Grading Period. Like in our T.L.E subject, there was a time that our activity was suspended because of the router in our school. Speaking of the challenges, maybe one of it is that when I was elected as a president of a club. There were lots of problems I need to face like making an action plan, constitution and laws and maintaining the beautification of our bulletin board.

With those challenges I've met, I was very thankful to God for guiding and giving me strength to face all those challenges. And also through hardworking, patience, and being responsible.

For now that the First Grading Period is about to finished, I will continue to develop and improve on what I've started. And those moral values I've used in order to coop up those struggles in my life.

A Nice Speak.....

Speaking is a way of conveying ideas to others. Why do we need to speak? We have to speak inorder us to utter words or speech so that the others would understand what we want to express.

In speaking, we used many languages. And we all know that English is the international language, isn't? Most of the countries used this especially in England. We, Filipinos have also it's own language which is the "Filipino". And aside from that, we used also other dialects such as Iloco, Cebuano, Capangpangan and others. Now, we have known that English and Filipino are the languages commonly used in our country. It is used at home, in the office, for business transactions and in school. In our school, there was a campaign held to promote "SPEAK TO ME IN ENGLISH OR FILIPINO". This is a good way for us to trained ourselves in speaking English or Filipino. But then, there is still lacking. Eventhough we know how to speak in English or Filipino but we don't know how to speak properly with kindness, it is still useless and pointless.Because it doesn't give understanding to everyone otherwise it gives misinterpret and may result to a quarrel.

So, friends let us trained ourselves to speak English or Filipino in our daily lives with kindness. Let us put in our minds and in our heart that speaking with kindness is very important.

ISN'T GOOD TO EAT?

ISN'T GOOD TO EAT?
"Vegetables are good to eat, good to eat, good to eat, vegetables are good to eat, good to eat, they make us healthy". This is one of the song we are singing when we are in the kindergarten.During that time, we always consider that vegetables make us healthy and also with fruits, milk, cereal foods and others. Now that we are on the stage of critical thinking, we classify the food we eat into GO, GROW, and GLOW. Aside from that, we've discovered the different nutrients we can get from it.
How can we get good nutrition? Good nutrition refers to the food that promotes growth and repairing of waste in organic bodies. We should know also that insufficient intake of food may bring poor health and worst of all, malnutrition.Good nutrition also refers on how a persontake it's balanced diet.Through this, we can indicate the amount of nutrients a person needs for the maintenance of good health. We have the body- building, energy- giving and regulating foods which we can get from green vegetables and fruits that is rich in vitamins. And also egg yolk, beans, peas, that is rich in iron.Other nutrients such as protein, calcium and carbohydrates. If a person has a good nutrition, he or she can easily coop up or prevent from diseases and spreading of bacteria and viruses in our body.
Therefore, our body really needs different kinds of food in order for it to function well, to be healthy and to get rid of diseases. That is why the food we eat must be nutritionally balanced and properly selected.
